We believe flexibility in features is important. If your business handles orders that require shipping to multiple addresses, you don’t necessarily want to manually input each new shipment and their related information. Sometimes this is the best workflow, but sometimes it’s too inefficient and time-consuming. There should be a better way, and there is!
aACE’s Duplicate to Import features allow you to streamline part of this shipping process. By entering all related addresses into a spreadsheet, aACE can create shipments for each of your imported addresses so you don’t have to.
Interface Spotlight
You can enable specific preferences that tell aACE to automatically create a shipment record when you open an order. A shipment record is set to go to only one address. To have a shipment go to multiple addresses, you can fill out the Duplicate to Import spreadsheet template provided by aACE.
When you import the spreadsheet, aACE will create individual shipment records for every address. The best part? All the new shipment records are automatically linked to the parent order, and each shipment pulls the items from the original order!
aACE in Action: Using aACE’s Shipment Duplication Feature
Suppose a business fulfills an order for a customer. The customer wants their order to be shipped to 3 different locations. The business could use the Duplicate to Import feature, but there is another way. Instead of using Duplicate to Import, the business simply duplicates their initial shipment twice and edits the quantity to send.
They then edit each of the shipment’s addresses to account for the different shipping locations. And, again, all the new shipment records are automatically linked to the parent order, and each shipment pulls the items from the original order!
Shipping to multiple addresses is just one feature of aACE that helps you handle your shipments. To learn more about shipping in aACE, see Drop Shipping and Special Orders Made Easy with aACE.
